Star Wars is a phenomenon that has endured for over 30 years. With the release of the newest installation of “The Force Awakens” the popularity of the franchise is at an all new high. As with most pop culture trends, it’s affected our daily lives. No longer are geeks afraid to share their love of Luke Skywalker, Chewbaca, and The Millenium Falcon. Now they are incorporating them into their weddings. We’ve had the rare opportunity to work with a wedding planner who specializes in Geek Weddings! Rebel Belle Weddings has pushed us to new creative heights in translating our menus into their client’s themes. Event Producer Veronica Medrano embraced this Star Wars Themed wedding which took place at Jim Henson Muppet Studios, by turning into our very own resident geek with her ideas and designs.
Our chefs manned the buffet line dressed as Storm Troopers complete with spatulas to match! And a Ham Solo Carving station kept the guests satisfied. It was carved by none other than Obi Wan Kenobi! To top it all off, our servers wore custom designed aprons that said May The Forks Be With You.
No detail is left to chance with us. We have an in-house graphic designer who creates menu markers that match the theme of all of our events. It’s those little touches that make an event truly memorable. We hope you’ll be inspired to be creative with your special day and allow us to bring you great food, legendary service, and all the little touches that you deserve.
Congratulations to this wonderful and adventurous couple. We loved being part of your amazing day and hope THE FORCE will remain with you always. Special thanks again to Rebel Belle for showing us how to have fun with food! If you’re planning a wedding in 2016 and need a caterer who isn’t afraid to jump into your theme with both feet give us a call at 888-498-0773, Summit Event Catering. We can’t wait to show you what we bring to the table!
